Racing Organization Helmet Rules
The world
racing organizations listed below recognize the ECE 22.05 approval as a
stand-alone helmet standard for racing use. CMS helmets are certified to both
DOT and the ECE 22.05 safety standards.

S. Rider and Mechanic Apparel
The
following apparel must be worn by riders in ALL events.
1.
Helmet
a. Helmets must be
certified by the manufacturer and have a
sticker affixed stating that they meet or exceed DOT, SNELL
90, 95, 2000 or any of
the FIM approved certifications. (Note: FIM approves the ECE 22.05 regulation)
b.
All helmets must be full coverage or full facial units.
c.
Riders must wear helmets at all times when riding on course.

The following is a set of minimum standards that will be in effect at all
events for
both riders and motorcycles:
5.1 RIDER EQUIPMENT

Undamaged full-face helmet with face shield and bearing a stamp of approval
from
one of
the following international standards:

10. Riders
clothing and protective requirements:
a) All WERA competitors must wear
helmets which have a Snell ’95 or ’00 approval sticker, or must be BSI or EC
approved and must be in good condition (as determined by Tech) and not
manufactured more than 5 years prior to the current race year. Helmets must
be taken to Technical Inspection and must display a WERA Helmet Tech decal
prior to being allowed on the track. Open-faced and dirt bike helmets are not
allowed.

Riders must wear a helmet which is in good condition, provides a
good fit
and is properly fastened.

Helmets must be of the full face type and conform to one of the
recognised international standards :
